Canada's national airline has become the first among traditional North American airlines to offer complimentary drinks across its entire network.
According to a report on Euronews, Air Canada announced that starting this fall, it will offer complimentary beer, wine, and snacks to economy passengers on all flights, not just long-haul flights.
Scott O'Leary, Air Canada's vice president of loyalty and products, said the decision reflects how important in-flight amenities are to customers. O'Leary added that waiving alcohol fees, rather than reducing baggage fees, is more valuable to passengers and perhaps even to the airline.
