According to a report by the German Federal Statistical Office, vacation and business trips in Germany are more popular than ever. Despite a decline in demand from abroad, hotels and other large accommodation providers recorded approximately 223.3 million overnight stays in the first half of 2025, surpassing the record high of 2024 by 0.1%.
Statisticians attribute the 12.7% decline in international visitors in June to the particularly high numbers from the previous year, when the European Football Championship drew fans from around the world.
