In Greece, a pro-Palestinian group wanted to prevent Israeli tourists from setting foot on the island after arriving in Rhodes Island on a cruise ship. A brawl broke out between the demonstrators and the police.
Protests against the cruise ship Crown Iris carrying Israeli tourists continue in Greece. The Israeli tourists on the ship, who were previously protested by Palestinian supporters on Syros Island and were not allowed to set foot on the island, were protested this time on Rhodes Island. A group of supporters of Palestine gathered at the harbor, chanting slogans of "Freedom for Palestine" and wanted to prevent Israeli tourists from setting foot on Rhodes Island. Police intervened the demonstrators. Greek media reported that the tourists on the ship had safely landed on the island before the protest.
The pro-Palestinian group had called for a protest before the arrival of the ship to the island, but representatives of local businesses on the island opposed the protest.
