A boat carrying passengers sank in the river in Niger state of Nigeria, killing 25 people.
The boat carrying passengers traveling from Munya region of Niger state to go to the market sank in Shiroro region. According to the first determinations with the sinking of the boat, 25 people lost their lives and many people went missing.
Niger State Emergency Management Agency Spokesperson Ibrahim Audu Husseini noted that search and rescue efforts are continuing in the region and the number of casualties may increase.
