Vivian Alexandra Spohr, wife of Carsten Spohr, CEO of the giant airline Lufthansa, hit and killed a pedestrian on vacation in Italy.
In the accident, the 24-year-old young woman died on the spot. After the accident, Vivian returned to Germany, where she fainted briefly and immediately afterwards. Vivian's departure from the scene sparked outrage in Italy.
While the Italian prosecutor's office launched an investigation on the charge of “causing death by negligence”, Spohr, in a statement through his lawyers, expressed his deep regret, while his lawyers stated that his clients are ready to cooperate with the investigation.
Italian authorities continue to investigate the accident.
