It was stated that US singer Katy Perry will go to space with an all-female team.
US singer Katy Perry will be accompanied by five other women, including Jeff Bezos' fiancée Lauren Sanchez, on the flight that will take place with Blue Origin's ‘New Shepard’ vehicle. The flight is scheduled to take off from Texas at around 15:30 GMT. This is the first all-female space crew since Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova's historic flight in 1963.
After the vehicle, which operates with a fully automated system, rises vertically, the capsule will separate and return to earth with parachutes. In the flight, which will last about 10 minutes, the crew will go beyond the Karman Line, internationally recognized as the space frontier. They will be able to leave their seats and move freely in a gravity-free environment for a short time.
