More than 100 people are trapped in their hotels due to two avalanches in Fukushima, northeastern Japan.
It was stated that heavy snowfall was effective in the town where Tsuçiyu Hot Spring is located in Fukushima, Japan. More than 100 people were stranded in two hotels in the resort as two avalanches blocked the road at 04.00 and 11.00 local time.
After the two avalanches, the snow thickness reached 1.5 meters across the town and the roads providing access to the hot spring hotels were closed. Authorities reported that snow plowing activities are continuing intensively to open the closed roads.
