Seventeen people were injured in an accident caused by a head-on collision between two trains in Denmark.

Two trains collided head-on on the railway line between the towns of Hillerød and Kagerup, located approximately 50 kilometers north of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. According to reports from the Danish media, 17 people were injured in the accident, which occurred in the early morning hours.

While five of the injured individuals transported to the hospital are reported to be in critical condition, local police announced that the road in the area affected by the accident has been closed to traffic.

It was noted that an investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched.
