City searches for the world cup increased by over %3000

According to Hotels.com's Get a Room Guide data, searches for host cities increased by 665% globally following the FIFA 2026 World Cup group stage draw on December 5; the biggest jump was in Boston (+3,645%).

Following the highly anticipated draw held on December 5, Hotels.com is seeing a significant increase in searches from football fans planning trips to the United States, Canada, and Mexico for the 2026 group stage matches. Since the draw, global searches for host cities have increased by 665%, and Hotels.com is helping fans secure their rooms now for the biggest matches of the summer.

Melanie Fish, Vice President of Communications at Hotels.com, said: "We are seeing a significant increase in both searches and prices in almost all host cities. Some of the hotels closest to the stadiums are already sold out. Fans planning this trip need to make their reservations without delay.
