Twenty-five people lost their lives in a fire that broke out at a nightclub in the Arpora area in the north of the Indian state of Goa. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced on social media that an investigation had been launched to determine the cause of the fire and identify those responsible. Sawant said, “I am closely monitoring the tragic fire that claimed the lives of 25 people and injured six others. The condition of the six injured is stable.”
