Saudi Arabia and Russia sign visa waiver agreement

1 min read

Saudi Arabia announced that it has signed an agreement with Russia providing for mutual visa exemption.

The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that an agreement providing for mutual visa exemption with Russia had been signed.

The statement said, "Within the framework of the excellent relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Russia, an agreement providing for mutual visa exemption for citizens of the two friendly countries has been signed. The agreement reflects the depth of the advanced partnership between the two countries, opens wider doors for human communication, and supports opportunities for exchange in the fields of tourism, economy, and culture."

It was stated that the agreement, which offers citizens of both countries the opportunity to stay for 90 days without a visa for visit purposes, does not cover those coming to the country for work, education, residence, or pilgrimage, and that a special visa is required for these purposes.
